Composition is open by special permission, to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, in order of their draw numbers, with priority given to English majors.
Students who wish to elect the course must request a place in writing. Completion of a simple form will constitute the written request; copies of the form will be available in the English Department Office (SC 130) during the preregistration period. Request forms must be returned to the English Department Office by the last day of preregistration.
Completion of this form does not guarantee placement. Class lists and waiting lists will be posted outside the English Department Office on the Monday following preregistration. Once Special Permission has been granted, registration for the course will be automatic. Students need not list the course on their registration cards or include it among their request in the VAX registration. If you are on a waiting list, your name will not appear on the Registrar's wait list, but you will be on the instructor's wait list.
