POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The English Department presents a public reading by Grantland editor Jay Caspian Kang, author of The Dead Do Not Improve, on Tuesday, September 18, at 6:00pm in Sanders Classroom Building, Spitzer Auditorium (212). 

Kang is an editor at Grantland, where he writes about sports, divas, and everything in-between. In his presentation, he will be discussing journalism and will read from his debut novel, The Dead Do Not Improve, a "Pynchon-esque menagerie" of California surfers and organic food moralizers, cops, thugs, hip-hop romantics and dot-com workers. He has previously written for the Morning News, deadspin, the Awl, New York Times Magazine and theAtlantic.com.
