Ford Scholar SymposiumLocationMain Library Class of 1951 Reading Room (Second Floor)
Since 1988, Vassar’s Ford Scholars Program has fostered faculty-student collaborations on research projects in the humanities and social sciences. This summer, 17 students conducted research with faculty members on a range of exciting projects. At the Symposium, they will discuss their projects, and the new Ford Scholars Director, Christine Howlett, Associate Professor of Music & Chair and Director of Choral Activities, will deliver the keynote address on her research. The 2019 Ford Scholars Program is supported by gifts and grants to Vassar College. Faculty mentors represented the following departments: Anthropology, Computer Science, Economics, Education, English, Film, Greek & Roman Studies, Hispanic Studies, History, Music, Psychology, and Religion.
