The 2019 William Gifford Lecture, Aleksandar Hemon

A professor of creative writing at Princeton University, he is the author of numerous books, including The Question of Bruno and Nowhere Man, and the recipient of awards that include a 2003 Guggenheim Fellowship and a “genius grant” from the MacArthur Foundation (2004). He is currently writing a new novel and co-writing the script for The Matrix 4. Hemon's lecture is sponsored by the English Department and the William Gifford Fund for Writers-in-Residence.
